Today was good- we had a free afternoon, so I met with Fairouz, the woman who is going to help me find an internship. The meeting was not particularly informative- she did not have any contact information with her, but she said that if I email her this weekend she will send it to me this coming week. The village stay (eek!) starts on Saturday, so I will be without internet. WOOOO SPRING BREAK 2012... Hopefully she will give me information by the time I get back and I can really get the ball rolling. She said that a lot of organizations close during Ramadan, so I am a little nervous, but she said that I should be okay. I spent some time on the terrace in the sun (in a tank top bc the CCCL has the same rules as America- no smoking in the building, and no judgement for tank tops or shorts. That is NOT the case outside of the doors). I skyped a little and then went home for tea.
I was supposed to study a lot, but I didn’t. IDK what I did, but I didn’t study. I showered, which was great. A little cold, but I love showering at night and then getting into PJS. We had eggs for dinner- PROTIEN!! Imane didn’t eat them because they give her “Haboob”- pimples. She also doesn’t eat cheese or butter (?!?!??! total nut job). She actually has BEAUTIFUL skin, so maybe she is on to something, but I could NEVER. Fatima and Imane also got into a fight because Fatima was supposed to wash one of Imane’s shirts, but she just rinsed it. They were yelling and Fatima started to cry when my “mom” became involved. I think they are much too old to be bickering and crying, but maybe it’s okay in Morocco… I don’t know.
