I hope your day was happy- mine was.
I woke up early to finish my hw, but I hit snooze & my "dad" was shaving in the bathroom, so I actually went back to sleep and woke up normal time. I got dressed and sat at the table to eat breakfast. Normal breakfast- baguette, olive oil/laughing cow cheese/jelly, and coffee (sometimes it's tea). I was multi-tasking: eating and working when all of a sudden as I tried to rip off a piece of my bread my coffee was mysteriously knocked over!! I spilt coffee EVERYWHERE, but was lucky enough to lift up the table cloth before it fell to the ground- I think my "mom" has an over-the-top obsession for her living room, and I really would have felt terrible if any fell on the beautiful carpet. Even though I caught the coffee- it was still an absolute disaster. I then remembered the pizza in the tea last night, and I think that they must think I am very clumsy/absent minded (I am neither). I also thought of Bri and how she would fare here. The tea cups that we use are actually glasses, and they seem to be perfect size for her fist to get stuck in...... How would u explain that Brianna ??? Anyway I apologized profusely and finished quickly (didn't do my hw bc it was soaked in qahwah). Arabic was normal, and I really ate only white things for lunch today. I felt sick all over for a little, but I snapped out of it. I ate potatoes, bread and rice. Then a lunch lady came around and put plates of (white) sugar/shortbread cookies on our table, and I had at least two (probably closer to four). They also made us tea which I had the freedom to drink WITHOUT SUGAR!! Then it was the next class, which was boring AGAIN! It was better today, but I am really not feeling very intellectually stimulated by these classes, and IDK what I was expecting, but it was not this. We got out earlier than yesterday (2:30) and I decided that I NEEDED to nap. I went home for my first Moroccan nap, which was very good. I watched some 10 Things I hate About You on my computer, and found a random blanket. It was very satisfactory. I slept for maybe an hour (potentially longer) and then I had a skype date which I went to the CCCL (better internet connection) for. Once I ended my conversation- Alexa and a girl i forget her name and Daisy were going to get some pastries at a far away bakery. Unmotivated to do anything else (forgetting about my "mild food" pledge) I agreed to go with them. It was far away, and the girl who i forget her name got lost a little. I got anxious bc we left our stuff at the CCCL and it was supposed to close at 630, but then we found it. I got an elephant ear and a brownie/banana pie thing that was SO dank. I ate the elephant ear (it had choc chips in it) on the way home, but saved the pie to take pictures and email to people. By the time we got back to the CCCL it was literally time to go out to dinner (ladies valentines day din) so we left. I dropped my stuff off at home (Alexa came with me) and my family was just finishing tea. They told us to sit down & eat (my "mom" got a valentines day cake), but little did they know we just ate pastries, and were on our way to eat japanese/thai food...... I said "this looks great, but I will eat it when I come home" (I meant it) and then we left. We changed restaurants last minute, and took petit taxis to a restaurant that i forget the name. It wasn't on the cross street that we thought it was on, so we had to walk thru Agdal (the nicer part of Rabat) which was fine bc I haven't spent much time there yet. Dinner was great. It wasn't Jasmine Thai, but it was pretty good. Three of us ordered pad thai, 2 got sushi (too adventurous for me, and they didn't really like it) Alexa got curry which was very good, but kinda hard to eat. I also got an orange soda (forgot how much i love it)- because I remembered that I am sick and my mom always gets me orange soda (not pad thai) when I am sick. I was SO full by the end that I couldn't even get a McFlurry at McDonalds (Liza & Sophie did), which is saying a lot.*I secretly remembered the cake that I told my "mom" I would eat when i got home... The Sara(h)s met up with my brother and eyoob, but I was much too tired, and made it clear to him earlier that I was feeling under the weather. We fit four of us in a petit taxi and came home. Imane told me earlier that she found a new boyfriend today (I knew that was going to happen- Claire Voyante) and she was going to chat with him while I was gone, but he said he would be on "the face" at midnight. My "mom" gave be a HUGE piece of cake, and it was very good. It was like an apple cake, and I hope she serves me some for breakfast tomorrow-- it is definitely breakfast-y by American standards, but we will see... stay tuned!! <3<3<3 night night
